Starkki is the name of DT Group’s Finnish operations organised as a of builders’ merchants and operating as the second largest distributor of building materials in Finland.

The primary customers are professional builders, contractors and construction companies as well as private customers and DIY builders, the latter being professionalised consumers who comprise the group between typical consumer DIYers and professional builders.

The customers are served from Starkki’s 22 builders’ merchant outlets that are located all over Finland.

Starkki also serves a considerable amount of retailers through its widespread Rautanet franchise chain comprising close to 100 stores. Ever since the acquisition in 2000 Starkki has been one of DT Group’s most effective divisions.

The chief executive of Starkki is Juha-Pekka Pöntinen.
