Silvan is the primary brand name of the Group’s DIY division. The division was launched in 1968 and operates 40 DIY stores in Denmark with sales to consumers. 

Many of the stores were originally set up as extensions of the Group’s builders merchants in Denmark which are organised under Stark, so in a number of cases the stores are in the same locations, so-called combi-stores.

The Group has developed the Silvan concept over the years, which has made it a strong brand synonymous with the DIY industry in Denmark.

The chief executive of the Silvan Chain is Freddy Lauridsen.
