Cheapy Lågprisbygg is the Group’s smallest chain. However, the chain is expanding rapidly and is constantly increasing the number of its stores in southern Sweden. The ambition is to reach a minimum of 40-50 stores.

Cheapy operates a number of small DIY stores with less discount products to consumers in southern Sweden. The first store opened in Kristianstad on 17 October 2002.

The chain’s prices are very competitive, and the concept is tailered to consumers focusing on price who want extremely low prices rather than a wide product range and high service.

By far the majority of the existing stores have been established as green-field projects, and Cheapy’s management is constantly on the look-out for new locations in the parts of southern Sweden not yet covered by the concept. The top management of the chain is based in Copenhagen, whilst the rest of the central administration is based in Ângelholm in southern Sweden.

Chain manager Karsten Kehler is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Cheapy chain.
