Basically, DT Group sells all products for which there is a demand, but not all of them are stocked. To improve efficiency, the Group is undergoing a rationalisation process and reducing the number of suppliers of products carried in stock. DT Group buys a number of its products on the spot market, but most of the products are bought from contract suppliers based on one of four different types of relationships:

1. Preferred supplier
2. Nordic supplier
3. Divisional supplier
4. Import supplier
